Thank you for your interest in Room to Read’s Trek to Vietnam in November 2018! This trek will be an opportunity to travel with your fellow Board Members and Room to Read leadership and will give you an intimate view of the incredible impact you've helped us achieve.


During the visit in Vietnam, you'll have a chance to meet our in-country team and interact closely with the beneficiaries of the Literacy and Girls' Education Program. Included below are details about the trek itinerary, costs and required forms. This site will be updated as details are finalized so be sure to check back frequently. Traveling from Hong Kong (HKG) on November 16:
Below are two flight options that land in Ho Chi Minh City (SGN) in time for the start of the trek.

Option 1: Cathay Pacific flight CX1751 (operated by Vietnam Airlines) (7:55 - 9:35 a.m.)*
Option 2: Cathay Pacific flight CX767 (8:25 – 10:20 a.m.)

After collecting your luggage and clearing immigration, you'll meet Room to Read staff at the airport. As a group, we will travel directly to Room to Read’s project site in Long An province, approximately 90 minutes away.

*For those taking option 1, we can arrange for access to the Cathay Pacific lounge so you can enjoy breakfast while you wait for our group departure at 11:30 a.m. Kindly let us know if you want us to arrange this service for you.

Traveling from Other Locations (arriving on November 16):

Please arrive in Ho Chi Minh City before 10:30 a.m. After collecting your luggage and clearing immigration, you'll meet Room to Read staff at the airport. As a group, we will travel directly to Room to Read’s project site in Long An province, approximately 90 minutes away

If you plan to arrive in Ho Chi Minh City before November 16 and wish to stay at the Park Hyatt Saigon, we recommend contacting our travel adviser for pre-trek hotel arrangements, including hotel transfer. Contact information is provided in the section below. On the morning of November 16, you will be picked up from the hotel for travel to Long An province, stopping at the airport on the way to collect the trekkers arriving this morning.
