Active for Education is Room to Read’s campaign to get energized, body and mind, for global literacy and gender equality in education. From global yoga-thons to reading competitions to rickshaw adventures, our supporters are inspired to set up their own challenge campaigns and raise money by getting #ActiveforEducation.
Here are some ideas to help you get started:
Set a challenge and rally your co-workers, friends and family to help you reach your goal and support a great cause.
Your goal can be anything you want — train for a half marathon, learn to play an instrument, or explore a new hike each week. Want to involve your colleagues? Set up a company-wide competition and track your activity and dollars towards ending illiteracy.

Room to Read’s Active for Education campaign is about getting energized, body and mind, while creating a social impact for global literacy and gender equality in education. When crafting content for your event or activity, feel free to use some of the resources below:
- Take a hike! Use our customizable poster to generate excitement (and hikers) and bring along our printable large flag, and printable small flag for a photo opp! Remember to tag @RoomtoRead to ensure we can see and share your great crowdsourced content.
- Host an Active for Education event! Here are some suggestions for your event, a 600px-wide Active for Education email invitation header, and a mock-up of an invitation.
- Use our Active for Education Logo (available in color and B+W) or our Room to Read Logo with an Active for Education tagline (available in EPS, JPG, and PNG formats)
