Employee Engagement: Energize Your Workforce

Engage employees while impacting girls’ education

Starting in 2016, BNP Paribas have teamed up with Room to Read to initiate an Asia Pacific wide employee fundraising campaign each year. Through the campaign, BNP Paribas and its employees across 14 markets in Asia Pacific, are supporting hundreds of girls each year in secondary school in India.

Raising millions for Literacy and Girls’ Education

Through Goldman Sachs and Goldman Sachs Gives, this company and its senior executives have contributed over $18 million cumulatively, and over $3 million in 2015 to Room to Read. In 2015, Goldman Sachs supported a wide range of Literacy and Girls' Education Programs for children across Asia and Africa.

Inspired employees lend expertise

Ketchum has provided communications support since 2008. More than 500 employees around the world have donated their skills to help raise awareness and reach new audiences. In addition, employees select a Room to Read project to fund in its entirety every year. To date, employees have collectively raised more than $300,000 to support Literacy and Girls’ Education projects across Asia and Africa.

Engaging a driven workforce

A key partner from the beginning, leverages its technology, resources and people to support Room to Read. encourages employees to use their Volunteer Time Off (VTO) on causes they are passionate about. A handful of Salesforce employees have spent their VTO with Room to Read students and teachers on international VTO trips, witnessing the power of education first-hand.

How girls are receiving a chance at a brighter future

The TripAdvisor Charitable Foundation has supported our Girls' Education Program through an employee-championed grant. In addition to this support, TripAdvisor encouraged their employees to donate to Room to Read by gifting everyone with a GlobalGiving gift card during the 2015 holiday season to use for a non-profit of their choice.


Rosewood Hotel Group began their support of Room to Read in 2017, raising funds through their associates and properties worldwide to support almost 200 girls in secondary school in Cambodia for a year. From September 2018 the campaign will be extended to benefit secondary school girls in both Cambodia and Vietnam.


CMS has partnered with Room to Read since 2016 to support our literacy and girls' education programs through a central donation coupled with a global employee fundraising campaign. Through their campaign, CMS and its employees around the world are supporting hundreds of primary school children access quality learning programs and enhancing gender equality in education.
