Room to Read partners with librarians around the world to develop and manage relevant, appealing book collections that engage and motivate children at a critical stage in their literacy development. We collaborate with librarians as advocates and ambassadors for literacy.Librarians play a vital role in nurturing children’s love of reading while supporting the skills they need to become lifelong learners.
Partner with Us
Room to Read publishes reading materials that are designed to be appealing to young learners, in languages that they speak, so that every child can see themselves reflected in the stories they read and learn about worlds that are different from their own. Librarians can integrate these resources into their collections and programming to better serve children and families in diverse communities.
Librarians are key partners in reaching more children, more quickly. Together, we can create welcoming spaces where children develop strong literacy skills and a love of reading that lasts a lifetime.
Through Literacy Cloud, our free digital library, librarians can access thousands of children’s books in 45 languages, along with read-aloud videos and instructional resources.
