About Room to Read
Education is the single most effective tool that exists for eradicating global poverty. Room to Read works across Asia and Africa to improve literacy and gender equality in education. We work with local communities to establish libraries, construct schools, publish local-language children’s books, train teachers in reading and writing instruction, and support girls to complete secondary school with the life skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Now operating in nine countries in Asia and Africa, we’re on track to reach 10 million children by 2015.
