77 schools across Punjab and Sindh. 131 educators, trained in storytelling, gender equality and life skills development. More than 10,000 adolescent girls — and counting — equipped to lead.
Our award-winning She Creates Change film and related curriculum continue to benefit more adolescent girls across Pakistan with the foundational life skills they need to communicate effectively, challenge gender norms, advocate for themselves and create meaningful change for themselves and generations to follow. Implementation of She Creates Change and Room to Read's gender equality programming is being carried out in partnership with seven key local partners in Pakistan: the Sindh Education Foundation, the Punjab Education Foundation, the Pakistan Girls' Guide Association, the Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust, Akhuwat, ILMpact, and Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi's Pakistan Literacy Project partner schools. Together, we are creating a powerful network of support for girls’ education.
Across partner schools, girls are turning inspiration into action:

Climate action + creativity: Inspired by Dewmini’s story, students in Sindh Education Foundation schools designed 3D models and storyboards exploring how families can adapt to a changing climate.
Advocacy through art + poetry: After reading Yashika’s and Keya’s stories, girls in Pakistan Literacy Project partner schools celebrated their rights and resiliency through colorful posters and heartfelt poetry.
Life skills for leadership: In Akhuwat-led sessions, girls explored the “4Cs” — critical thinking, communication, confidence and collaboration — learning to question gender stereotypes and overcome gender-based social and cultural barriers.
Dialogue + solidarity: At Sanjan Nagar Public Education Trust, students connected She Creates Change stories with their own lives, fostering empathy and a shared commitment to education.
Peer support + empowerment: Girls in Punjab Education Foundation and Pakistan Girls' Guide Association schools shared their experience with resilience and pledged to support others facing similar challenges.
Real-world application: Students in ILMpact schools reflected on how life skills lessons have changed their approach to setting goals for their future, and how they plan to apply these lessons in daily life.
Through every story shared, every conversation sparked, and every dream inspired, She Creates Change continues to nurture a generation of girls prepared to lead with purpose, confidence and possibility.
With 40 additional schools preparing to implement She Creates Change programming and 80 educators currently in training, the initiative is on track to extend its reach and deepen its impact — equipping thousands more girls with the tools they need to build confidence, exercise agency and lead change in their communities.
