By making room to read in your own life, you can make room to read for children around the world. Participating is simple: How will you Make Room to Read?
This September, join a global effort to promote the power of reading, build community and break the cycle of childhood illiteracy.
1. Pledge to Read. Set a goal to read for a certain number of minutes – on your own, as a class, or with a group.
2. Track and share your progress. For every minute you read, invite others to support you by making an equivalent donation to promote education worldwide.
3. Raise funds for literacy. Every $1 donated can provide a brand-new book for a child facing deep educational, gender and economic inequities.
