Make Room to Read 2026

Make Room to Read 2026

How will you Make Room to Read?

This September, join a global effort to promote the power of reading, build community and break the cycle of childhood illiteracy.

By making room to read in your own life, you can make room to read for children around the world.

Participating is simple:

icon of child reading1. Pledge to Read. Set a goal to read for a certain number of minutes – on your own, as a class, or with a group.

check mark icon2. Track and share your progress. For every minute you read, invite others to support you by making an equivalent donation to promote education worldwide.

1 minute of reading = $1 raised = 1 new book for a child

Check back soon for toolkits and resources for participating school groups, corporate partners, families, and anyone who wants to make a difference for children worldwide by picking up a good book.
