Bali, Indonesia Tuesday, May 9 Wednesday, May 10 Following the school visit, we'll meet with representatives from the Ministry of Education for an update on the state of education in Indonesia, and hear how Room to Read is supporting the national education agenda. Following our talk and lunch, we'll return to the Hyatt Regency Sanur. We'll have an optional group dinner this evening. You can choose to continue spending time with your fellow journey participants or go out and explore the city on your own. Thursday, May 11 In the afternoon, all journey participants are invited to attend a workshop at the Hyatt Regency Sunur for a unique opportunity to meet with children's book publishing partners in Indonesia. You'll gain insight into Room to Read's book development process and how we're creating a broad demand for storybooks nationally. The day will conclude with a celebratory farewell dinner at a local restaurant in Denpasar. This will be an opportunity to reflect on the trip and discuss ideas and impressions with fellow journey participants. Friday, May 12 Find the full itinerary in our information pack.

The journey will start with a special welcome reception and dinner at the Hyatt Regency Sanur.
Departing from the Hyatt Regency Sanur, the day will begin by visiting one of our Literacy Program schools in Denpasar where Room to Read has worked since 2016. Our Literacy Program in Indonesia provides schools with tailored assistance to ensure students have access to a high-quality collection of children's books that they need to learn basic skills and develop a habit of reading. The morning's visit will take us to the library where we'll interact with students through reading activities and hear directly from school staff on how the library is adding value at the school and district levels.
Room to Read's Global Board of Directors will meet in the morning, followed by the joint Global & Regional Board session. We'll confirm the timing for both shortly.
