Bali Journey 2023

Bali Journey 2023

We are thrilled that you are interested in joining Room to Read's Journey to Bali, Indonesia! This journey will be an opportunity to get active and travel with Room to Read's Global Board of Directors and executive leadership team members. During this journey, you will have a chance to learn from our partners and leadership about the incredible impact you've helped us achieve, celebrate our progress and share our vision for the years to come. This unique, first-hand experience will deepen your understanding of the positive change we're making together.

You and a small group of Room to Read investors will meet with our in-country partners and key community stakeholders, and interact closely with children and teachers in our partner schools. Below are important details about the trip. This site will be updated as details are finalized, so check back frequently. Please feel free to contact us if you have questions or would like additional information. We look forward to traveling with you!

For more information on our work in Indonesia, the schools you will visit and how to prepare for the trip, read through our information pack.

Download the information pack.

Please review Room to Read's Visitor Agreement and Child Protection Code of Conduct. This waiver must be signed prior to the visit by each participant and will be sent to you from our team via DocuSign.

In order to enter Indonesia, you will need a valid passport with at least one blank page and six months validity remaining. It is likely that you will need to purchase a visa-on-arrival which costs around USD 35. If you are travelling from select ASEAN countries, you will not be required to purchase a visa.

Please note that if your country is not on the visa-on-arrival list, you will need to apply for a B211A Visit Visa in advance.

Check what applies to you here.

Travellers aged 18 or above are required to show proof of vaccination (2 or more doses) on arrival. See the full COVID-19 entry requirements here.

All trip participants should visit their doctor at least 4-6 weeks in advance of their departure date to discuss recommendations and immunization prior to travelling.

For more information on immunizations either recommended or needed for travel to Indonesia, please visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website.
