Le Thien Tri is the literacy director at Room to Read in Vietnam, where he leads the design and implementation of strategies to strengthen children’s language and literacy development through school libraries, teacher support, and learning resources. With more than 18 years of experience in the development sector, he brings expertise in program strategy, curriculum and content development, partnership building, and systems strengthening in education.
Tri holds dual master’s degrees in peace education and global politics from the University for Peace and the Ateneo de Manila University. He also holds a master’s degree in environmental communication and management from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. Before that, Tri earned a bachelor’s degree in English linguistics and literature from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in Vietnam. His interdisciplinary background, combined with extensive experience working with government, schools and communities, enables him to connect technical rigor with context-responsive, human-centered approaches to learning and development.
