Hadija Hassan is a gender equality advocate and serves as senior manager of the Gender Equality Portfolio at Room to Read in Tanzania. She provides strategic leadership in the design and implementation of nationwide programs that promote equitable access to education and empower adolescents to succeed.
With more than 10 years of experience, Hadija has led initiatives that have supported more than 10,000 girls in completing their education and developing essential life skills. She also oversees programs that engage boys as allies in advancing gender equality. Working closely with government and community stakeholders, she is committed to driving sustainable impact and believes that investing in education is key to building more inclusive and prosperous societies.
