International Women's Day

Let's press for progress by supporting girls around the globe.

We’re living in a powerful time – people around the world are demanding equality and an end to harassment and violence against girls and women. One of the most important investments we can make is ensuring that girls are able to stay in school, advocate for themselves and navigate life's most difficult decisions.

Room to Read's Girls' Education Program

We collaborate with local governments, schools, communities and families to support girls to reach their full potential. When our partners understand the value of educating girls and work toward change within their schools, communities and at home, a culture of gender equality grows.

We provide girls with a mentor and life skills education throughout their secondary school experience, so they have a role model to support them and skills they need to complete secondary school and negotiate future life decisions.

We advocate with governments to adopt our approach to mentoring and life skills education and drive transformative changes in education systems around the world. When nations are strengthened through a generation of educated women, a culture of change develops.
