Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Volunteer Coordinator - Leadership Team - The volunteer coordinator will look after our ever growing group of volunteers and ensure everyone has ample opportunities to choose from to support our fundraising endeavors. Supporting the Chapter Leader and Assistant Chapter Leader we’ll be looking for this person to welcome new volunteers, maintain a record of our member numbers, know how each volunteer would like to support the charity and support the Fundraising and Marketing Coordinators in finding volunteers to help with the various fundraising activities, events and marketing campaigns we will be running throughout the year.
Fundraising Coordinator - Leadership Team - With $35,000 to raise this year, we need someone now more than ever to help us manage and fulfill our events calendar. Supported by individual volunteers passionate about each event, this person will be in charge of coordinating our annual events calendar, delegating and monitoring the work required to bring a successful event to life and keeping the Chapter Leader up to date with where things are. The core of this person’s role will be in motivating volunteer members behind their events, providing guidance on how to bring their event to life and utilizing the Leadership Team to provide support where needed.
Graphic Designers - We need 3-4 volunteers with graphic design skills to create promotional material for a wide range of events over the calendar year. The time commitment should be no more than a couple of hours per project and each designer can focus on a individual events. This is a very essential role in the chapter and a great way to contribute to Room to Read.
Event Coordinators - Networking Extraordinaires - Are you a social butterfly, and love spending time with your friends, colleagues, family and meeting new people? Then we need you! We need networking extraordinaires to help us grow the Room to Read network for our Chapter events only. The role is easy - keep updated on our various events, bring along your family, friends, colleagues and acquaintances and be a Room to Read host at our events. The time commitment for this task is only 1-2 hours! This is an amazing way for you to catch up with all the people in your network, while supporting a life-changing cause!
