Due to the overwhelming efforts of students and schools after the Tsunami at the end of 2004, all of our projects in Sri Lanka were funded through the first half of 2007!

On this page, you can see the effects of the money that was raised during that incredible outpouring of support. Schools that were sponsored during that time have now been built, and you can see the positive outcome - happy kids at school! Although we are now establishing schools and libraries all over Sri Lanka, we have decided to keep a few of the slideshows on here that highlight Room to Read's work in the country right after the tsunami - as a reminder of the amazing way that people around the world came together to help after this devastating disaster.
