About Room To Read Chapters

Room to Read depends on our chapter leaders and chapter members to help us achieve our annual fundraising goal and to represent Room to Read. Our chapters are comprised of groups of individuals who have made a long-term volunteer commitment to promoting Room to Read within their networks and communities. The chapters organize annual fundraising events, introduce us to potential corporate, foundation and individual supporters and act as representatives for Room to Read within their area.

About the
San Diego
 Chapter

The San Diego Chapter launched in the fall of 2006 with a successful event at UC San Diego. Not only did chapter co-founders Darah and Marshall Roslyn inspire many guests to donate, many dedicated volunteers committed to sharing in the passion and effort of creating world change through educated children. Darah and Marshall brought early success to the chapter and have since moved to China.

Now, with leaders, Stephanie San Antonio and Karen Baez, our focus in San Diego is raising funds by having an annual gala event in the fall, multiple Beers for Books events through out the year and raise awarement through our Students Helping Students efforts and volunteer socials.
