In Vino Educatis - Magic in Education

Join the Dallas Forth Worth Chapter for an evening of live performances, fine wine, and a silent and live auction in support of literacy and girls empowerment at their annual In Vino Educatis event! Light hors d'oeuves will be served and pizza from Urban Crust Pizza as well as food from Times Ten will be available for purchase. For each ticket purchased, 5 books will be donated to Room to Read. The following ticketing levels are available:
- Impromtu Level ($15) includes 2 raffle tickets
- Triumph Level ($25, 30 available before April 1st) includes 2 raffle tickets and 1 glass of wine
- Busking Level ($30, available after April 1st) includes 2 raffle tickets and 1 glass of wine
- Gaff Level ($35, at door price) includes 2 raffle tickets and 1 glass of wine 
*At the event, $10 additional drink tickets will be available, and 20% of bottle purchases will be donated

Sip for Schools – Destination Global Literacy

Please join Room to Read's Boston Chapter for a wine tasting to advance global literacy and gender equality in education. Sip Wine Bar and Kitchen is generously donating their elegant tasting room and appetizers for this festive evening. Sample, sip and snack as an expert highlights the subtleties of the wines on offer.

Our special guest for the evening will be Lisa Mullins, the voice of WBUR’s All Things Considered. Expect exciting silent auction items, including Red Sox corporate suite tickets. Jimi Hendrix fans: Take a chance on an original Denny Dent painting of the legendary guitarist.

Tickets:
$75 – Early Bird (available through midnight on 4/20) - Provides 75 books for beginning readers
$100 – General (available on EventBrite until 3 p.m. on 4/27 or at the door) - Funds a year of life skills education for a girl in secondary school
$250 – Ambassador (available on EventBrite until 3 p.m. on 4/27 or at the door) - Helps to support a girl for a year on the Girls' Education program. Special acknowledgement at the event!

Beers for Books and Swing Dancing!

Join the Room to Read Austin Chapter for beers and swing dancing! There is no entry fee, and for every beer you buy, The White Horse will donate $1 to Room to Read. Swing dancing lessons are provided by Amanda Pincock, who will be donating 50% of her tips to Room to Read!

Beers for Books: Escape from Brooklyn!

Astoria is the new Bushwick as Beers for Books flees Park Slope, heading northwards for its next event, this time at ever-popular bar & restaurant Astoria Bier and Cheese (Ditmars). Our brewery partner is one of NYC’s highest-rated, Singlecut Beersmiths, who will be donating lots of goodies to the Craft Beer Raffle prize. C-Town Astoria’s beer maestro Raoul will also curate a sampling of sought-after beers from his vast collection for the prize.   All raffle proceeds will support Room to Read.  Have a great time and take a chance on the raffle – it’s all for a good cause!
