In-Kind Partners

In-kind contributions of books, software, and services are key to our success in providing educational opportunities to children in the developing world. The following are our largest in-kind supporters to date. Should you be interested in becoming an in-kind partner, please read about Becoming a Partner.

Scholastic Inc. and its subsidiaries have been extremely supportive of our Reading Room Program. We've received over 2.2 million English children's books, which were either donated or purchased at an extremely low cost, for our network of libraries. They have also provided us with invaluable strategic and publishing advice.

Sabre Foundation has generously donated thousands of children's books to our libraries in Zambia, Cambodia, and Laos.

Brother's Brother Foundation has been a generous supporter of our Reading Room Program by facilitating the donation of over 200,000 children's books.

Room to Read libraries in Asia and Africa have benefitted from the generous donation of thousands of children's books from the Pearson Foundation.

The Asia Foundation has graciously provided us with warehouse space to store children's books that are shipped to our partner countries, as well as shipping and logistical support.

Small Luxury Hotels of the World™, an unrivalled portfolio of some of the world’s finest small independent hotels, supports Room to Read’s fundraising efforts by donating room nights as part of its Caring Luxury programme.  For more information go to

Credit Suisse generously donates office space for our fundraising offices in Hong Kong, London and Tokyo.

Google has provided us with a generous grant that allows us to use Google AdWords to increase our web hits on their search engine.

Through pro bono legal services in Japan, Morrison & Foerster LLP has helped Room to Read be the best possible stewards of our donors’ investments.

We have been fortunate to receive donated database licenses from Salesforce CRM for our global programs database.
