Room to Read Runners at Henley
A group of ten runners took part in the Henley Half Marathon on 14 October in aid of Room to Read. Five of the runners took part in the 10km race, whilst the other five completed the half marathon. The runners have raised more than £9,000, and this figure is expected to rise. Room to Read volunteer Simon Brake commented: "It was a fantastic day, and the conditions were perfect. All the Room to Read runners achieved a personal best on the day. We have already talked about doing it again next year." Well done to all, and thanks also to Elizabeth and Mike Kirkhup who hosted a post-run barbeque for the Room to Read runners and their supporters.
