Since the UK Chapter launched in 2003, our fundraising activities have supported a number of Room to Read projects including rebuilding schools in Sri Lanka, the local language publishing programme in Cambodia and expansion of the charity into Africa and Laos.
Our team consists of volunteers based throughout the UK, including a board of six trustees. Many of our volunteers are based in London and this team help manage the charity and organise fundraising events in and around the capital.
Our mission is to increase awareness of Room to Read in the UK, and to raise money and support for its programmes. To do this we are keen to recruit more volunteers throughout the country.
