About Room to Read Chapters

Room to Read depends on our chapter leaders and chapter members to help us achieve our annual fundraising goal and to represent Room to Read. Our chapters are comprised of groups of individuals who have made a long-term volunteer commitment to promoting Room to Read within their networks and communities. The chapters organize annual fundraising events, introduce us to potential corporate, foundation and individual supporters and act as representatives for Room to Read within their area.

About the
Charlotte
 Chapter

Welcome to the newly formed Charlotte chapter! We are so glad you're here. Do you remember the first book you ever read? the smell of a library? the worlds you traveled to, transported by the words you were reading? We want to be sure that children all over the world will have the opportunity to create similar memories.

Please join us. Since we are just getting started, you will have the chance to help build and shape the future of the Charlotte chapter. We can't wait to work with you!

Holly Bretschneider
Holly's love affair with books began on her Grampie's knee reading "Green Eggs and Ham" endlessly. A former attorney, Holly now owns Salutations, a stationery boutique in Ballantyne and Chapel Hill. She also recently launched two new businesses, Guild of Original Designers {GOOD} and Blog Boutique. Each of her three businesses donate a portion of revenue or profits to Room to Read.
