Commission a local author to write
an original children's book.

High-quality, age-approrpiate books in local languages can be scarce in developing countries, so we find local authors and illustrators to create them. These original, engaging stories fill the shelves of Room to Read libraries across Asia and Africa and fuel the imaginations of eager young readers.

Establish a brand new school library that
inspires generations of readers.

Help thousands of children develop a lifelong love of reading, by establishing a complete school library. Filled with print-rich decorations, child-sized furniture and hundreds of colorful books in the local language, your library will inspire generations of young readers and provide a sape space to learn and play.

When your library is complete, we will send you a full completion report with photos and information about the community it serves.

For three years, we will provide regular training to help teachers learn how to manage the new library and use the resources effectively. We'll also work with parents and school administrators to ensure children have ample time for reading in school and at homeextending the benefits of your library far beyond the four walls that contain it and laying the foundation for long-term sustainability.
